Ooh this is very timely considering I was asking you about scanners the other day! I use a MacBook Pro laptop and an iPad and I like their portability as sometimes I WFH and sometimes I work in my studio. I have a printer / scanner - an Epson EcoTank-2860. It's great for printing worksheets for my in person workshops and postage labels and the ink has lasted for months and months. But I wouldn't use it for art prints etc as the quality isn't high enough. The scanner is quite basic though so I am planning to invest in a flatbed scanner soon.
I know! I should have said, I’ve got a Substack article coming out in 2 days time!
Nice! That is the only thing with my set up, iPad aside an iMac isn’t portable so you are tied down to one location.
Would you ever consider getting a high grade printer so you could print your own art prints and cards etc from home? It’s always the age old discussion isn’t it - do it at home, or outsource!
I use a Canon Lide 400 and it hasn’t let me down yet!
I haven't looked into getting a higher spec printer so far as I rarely sell prints or cards. But it may be useful to have in the future. The Canon Lide 400 scanner sounds good though!
I’ve always outsourced so I haven’t really had a good look into really high spec printers!
Yes! I’ve never had any issues with it, and I think I’ve had it for 4 years?! It’s also dealt with all of my ink and paint and grubby finger prints and it always wipes clean!
Nice work table 🤗
Thanks! It’s just a simple IKEA top and legs combo. Nothing fancy, but it does the job.
Simple ,neat and classy
